Artist turned Activist
Nancy hails from a background in community-facing work thanks to the various hats she has worn, ranging from teaching art workshops and classes, working at the local library, managing a community garden and farmer's market, and working as a climate justice advocate. This work and proximity to her community has inspired her to step up to represent her neighbors in District 20. Although Nancy is far from her hometown on the sunny West Coast, she has fallen in love with Michigan. She has settled down in Wyoming, MI where she gardens, hangs out with her pup Umi and her cat Child, reads, makes art, and takes many walks through the neighborhood.
